<p>LEGO has announced and revealed their new Creator Expert Modular building, and it is a beautiful bookshop and townhouse combo.</p>

<p>If you are book-lover and a LEGO lover, then this may well be the set for you!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1000" height="913" src="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/LEGO-bookshop-10270-front.jpg" alt="LEGO Creator Expert Bookshop and Townhouse modular - front on" class="wp-image-1138" srcset="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/LEGO-bookshop-10270-front.jpg 1000w, http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/LEGO-bookshop-10270-front-980x895.jpg 980w, http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/LEGO-bookshop-10270-front-480x438.jpg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1000px, 100vw" /><figcaption>The new modular LEGO Bookshop and Townhouse 10270</figcaption></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">LEGO Bookshop 10270 Overview</h2>

<p>So, what&#8217;s the breakdown? Well, the new LEGO bookshop modular will contain 2504 pieces, is rated 16+ and measures over 11” (29cm) high, 9” (25cm) wide and 9” (25cm) deep.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="953" height="660" src="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-3.png" alt="Inside the LEGO Creator Expert Bookshop - Chameleon on bed" class="wp-image-1139" srcset="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-3.png 953w, http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-3-480x332.png 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 953px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p>This would be a great standalone piece, for book-lovers, and bookshop-owners (or wannabe owners) alike. In <g class="gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="6" data-gr-id="6">fact</g> I showed it to my <g class="gr_ gr_5 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="5" data-gr-id="5">friend,</g> and fellow blogger over at <a href="http://inkblotbookreview.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Ink Blot Book Blog (opens in a new tab)">Ink Blot Book Blog</a>, and she already wants one.</p>

<p>I think it would be an ideal, and rather cute, book-end. Don&#8217;t you? I already used my Detective&#8217;s office as a kind of bookend at one point.</p>

<p>What makes this set interesting compared to other modular buildings from LEGO, is the fact that both of the smaller buildings, the bookshop and the townhouse are independently modular.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="426" src="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-sidekick-lifestyle-homepage.jpeg" alt="LEGO Creator Expert Bookshop modular - woman removing townhouse roof to look in side" class="wp-image-1140" srcset="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-sidekick-lifestyle-homepage.jpeg 800w, http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-sidekick-lifestyle-homepage-480x256.jpeg 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 800px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p>Both being modular means you can have either the bookshop or the townhouse on the left or right, and I don&#8217;t see any reason they can&#8217;t be separated entirely. So you could therefore have one on each side of an existing modular building. Or on at each end of the street if you are lucky enough to have a street of modular LEGO buildings 😉</p>

<p>Basically, what I&#8217;m saying is, you are actually getting two smaller modular buildings for the price of one. And especially for Book-lovers, the bookshop is a nice addition to the modular buildings that LEGO offer.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="953" height="660" src="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-5.png" alt="Two LEGO minifigs having a coffee on the balcony" class="wp-image-1141" srcset="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-5.png 953w, http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-5-480x332.png 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 953px, 100vw" /></figure>

<p>The fact you can include them in any way you like, means it should be pretty easy to fit them into your current modular layout.</p>

<p>And on that note, I think my wallet left, and is shopping at The LEGO store 😉</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="953" height="660" src="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-4.png" alt="A LEGO minifying man with a flower. On his way to meet his coffee date?" class="wp-image-1142" srcset="http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-4.png 953w, http://bricksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/10270-content-block-standard-4-480x332.png 480w" sizes="(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 953px, 100vw" /></figure>

</p>
<p>LEGO unveiled the new <strong>LEGO Creator Expert</strong> set at their flagship London Leicester square store. Where else would they unveil a British icon, other than the home of James Bond and Aston Martin, right?</p>
<p>This set is interesting and will appeal to LEGO Creator enthusiasts and James Bond lovers alike. But I am more interested in what this means for the future. LEGO have now licensed Aston Martin <em>and</em> James Bond, which means we could potentially see James Bond <a href="http://bricksblog.com/lego/brickheadz/">BrickHeadz</a>, LEGO James Bond the video game, and many classic playsets from the 26!?! James Bond films released to date!</p>
<p>Imagine loading up LEGO Dimensions and having a new James Bond area to play through, Or the iconic scenes that could be recreated in LEGO form. This year, LEGO is returning to the <a href="http://bricksblog.com/lego-returns-to-the-wizarding-world-of-harry-potter/">Harry Potter</a> franchise, so we know they can dabble in classics too, not just the newest film releases.</p>
<p>Of course, this may be nothing, and not amount to any more than this one-off, but after the release of the LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron, I can imagine a similar set for one of Aston Martins newer cars, and it would be awesome.</p>
<p>What do you think? Is this the beginning of a new LEGO franchise?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
